Coffee (Turkish!) is on us
There are two different types of hair transplant methods; the first being more surgical than the second; FUT and FUE
The FUT procedure is slightly more outdated and less recommended as it may leave scarring, and the healing process is more painful than the FUE method.
Turkey specializes in the newer improved FUE method more commonly used on patients’. Each hair is extracted from very tiny holes without any cutting or stitching of the skin required, resulting in a much faster and more painless procedure and healing process. However, it is essential to be fully informed and follow all necessary requirements in order to avoid bad or unwanted results

What is a hair transplant procedure?
Hair transplantation is the procedure of removing healthy hair follicles from one part of the body called the “donor area” to an area less dense, or where no hair exists at all. Healthy and productive hair follicles are usually taken from the back of the head, however in cases where this are not of sufficient quality, the chest area can also serve as a donor area. Hair transplantation provides a permanent solution to issues of hair thinning in the temporal area, shedding hair in the crown area or complete hair loss in the crown area
Pre-operative assessment and planning
Seeing a hair transplant specialist is one of the most important steps in achieving a natural looking result. The specialist will draw a different hairline for each patient, according to a number of deciding factors such as gender, age, facial features, hair type (i.e., curly hair), hair growth direction, and facial muscles. To reach the most natural and aesthetic result possible, one could be asked to raise the eyebrows in order to see how far the new hairline could go.
What is an implant?
Hair follicles that are transferred from a “donor” area to the recipient area are called “implants”. One implant may contain a single hair follicle or multiple hair follicles. Depending on the number of hair follicles in one implant, the number of implants intended for extraction may vary. The area to be shaved will depend on the area and the number of implants needed. The procedure is performed both on male and female patients.
Recovery process after hair transplantation
Patients can return home or to their hotel on the same day of the hair transplant procedure. Medications prescribed for use after the procedure, i.e. special shampoo and creams to apply to the area, are provided to patients. Your medication process will be explained in detail. Hair bandages are removed on the second day after the procedure and the area worked on will be dressed. On the third day, your hair should be washed.
Self-treatment is possible using shampoo and special lotion during the 10 days after the first hair wash. In general, patients can resume their routine after 3 days post procedure. Scabs may appear on the skin of the head a week after surgery, however, all scabbing should fall off after 10-12 days. “Hair loss shock” must be examined within the month after the transplant and hair should begin to grow as of the third month. You can expect to see results after about 6 months. 70% will be visible in the first 6 months, and 100% will be visible within a year.
Much like any other surgery, hair transplants carries some risk as well. Infection, bleeding, allergy, pain, sensitivity and redness may occur. In addition to these symptoms, failure of growth in areas of implants placed, skin tissue scarring, or tissue necrosis could also occur. Our experts do the best they can to eliminate and minimize all these risks, which are aready reduced by choosing the best expertise available to conduct the procedure.
